But Iraq's future is iffy. certainly and that's my tack. The Saddam factor has negative implications for the Baathists but now the Shiite majority will likely press harder for control sooner.. I'm finding the official US reaction rather muted. Now is this because of the speculation that Saddam was not in control but actually being held for a bounty or realisation of the new challenges looming.. The same divisions remain there.
