this sounds cruel and cynical -- but I kinda wish they woulda just shot him -- parading him around like a prize kinda makes me sick ... especially if they are going to have a trial and then execute him anyway.

I'm not a fan of Dean at all, but he's right about this: This doesn't make us any safer -- not one bit. No WMDs were ever found -- Iraq's economy was in tatters -- he couldn't have attacked anyone and withstood the response.

My prayer and hope is this: That those who have bravely served may return home sooner, rather than later. I am very thankful that an election is coming up -- surely, this will motivate Bush, if he is flagging in the polls at the time to do something right -- bring them home.

There will be no demoncracy over there. The idea that we could impose what we think is a correct form of government on a people whose culture is radically different from our own is not a pipe dream -- it's folly in the extreme.
