I think you mean the abrupt increase in rates by AG in an effort to quell fast-paced growth.

What Greenspan did not realize, and still doesn't, is that the US consumer, corps, and munis are ADDICTED to DEBT and he has little no room for error. He is in a situation whereby a one or two point rise in rates would destroy this economy.
