Well, the current Chinese curse economy ( may you live in interesting times ) certainly keeps us on our toes! It's just the pace of change is driven by contemporary multinational corporations that are more concerned with quarterly profits than the social contract or any national alliegence. Our government, which we formerly depended on to be the balancing hand against corporate rapacity, at times seems to be a wholly owned subsidary of the greed-heads. I'm sure I'll do ok, I always have. But many will be marginalized.
