There's a component of getting rich that means individual choices such as owning a car and having the privacy that provides. You've posed a tough question but there's no doubt that China is on the American model and lots of cars are in the future for lots of Chinese, and others. Should we have a monopoly on stupidity just because we invented it? They will be smaller cars as gasoline prices are about to explode and stay high for a long time.
