Inspired by Capuchin monks? LOL! That will turn off the French, won't it? Hey, I remember when Russian women all wore a very similar head scarf but they called them babushkas. I also remember when the Shah of Iran prohibited women from wearing them in public in Iran. One of the things that led to his overthrow. Humiliating your enemy's women is a stupid thing to do. Maybe some of the women wear them as a political statement but most wear them because the men will beat them up if they don't and the other women will act like they're whores. So if a Muslim woman is prohibited from wearing the veil in public, she'll just have to stay home. Barefoot and pregnant is how she'll wind up, with no education and no job.
