Where this actually started out was with skinowski's #reply-19594305 The second part of the memo, which is headed 'Niger Shipment', contains a report about an unspecified shipment -- believed to be uranium -- that was transported to Iraq via Libya and Syria. KLP chipped in withMohd Atta trained in Baghdad: Report...edit - note the "Niger Shipment" detail) As was noted earlier on the PfP thread, where's the so-called major media on this....? And really, where's the rest of the FADG board on this? #reply-19595562 Then you chimed in with Several months ago Cobalt Blue did one hell of a search and pieced together a super post on the Niger to Libya to Iraq movement of yellow cake. #reply-19595732 To which I respondedRight. If there was actually any evidence ( in the conventional sense of the word, of course, not the neocon true believer "dot-connecting" sense) that Iraq actually obtained uranium from Niger later that the pre-GWI 80's, don't you think W and company would have brought that up during the Wilson/Plame affair? All that was claimed in the State of the Union address was that Iraq attempted to get Uranium from Niger, it would have really made Wilson look stupid if they'd actually gotten some. #reply-19595803 I suppose you can accuse me of being circular in the sense of going back to the original statements here, but somehow I don't think that's what you meant with the "snake" thing. If you want to claim that what was actually being discussed was uranium ore that Iraq obtained in the '80s, that was known to the UN inspectors and everybody else, that was inspected and sealed by the UN inspectors in Tuwaitha, well, that's your privilege. If you want to claim that Iraq got uranium from Niger sometime after the first gulf war, that's something else.
