Look, our main differences here are that you are dealing
in interpretations, perceptions & feelings.
I'm dealing in factual & reality based assertions.

No, our main difference is that we both are dealing with both but I recognize it and you don't.

This so called hypothesis accomplishes what exactly?

I'm attempting to do what Friedman, IMO, is attempting to do, which is to freshen and moderate some ossified "thinking." He's working on the cynics and I'm working on you. He probably had no more success than I.

People groove in their thinking rather easily. We all do it. We interpret things according to our world views. I don't know what cynicism or pessimism or paranoia or hostility or whatever drives yours, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to me to go looking for obstacles and enemies. There are plenty of them that present themselves without taking it upon oneself to create them out of whole cloth. Friedman is not Bush's enemy nor yours. He's simply not a true believer.
