Syria's Assad weighs in with his ideas on what threatens us :
haaretzdaily.com

oh pluuheez, Mr Assad , spare us the double talk.

We are quite aware of who our latest enemies are , and you and that parasitic little terrorist haven
are number one on the "next list". The Al_Quada are squashed, we know this.

But your Syria is a plague house with absolutely no future...no productivity ...no creativity.
So very dangerous...

I agree with you here. Too many are making too big a deal out of his capture. The military inquisition he now faces will again be his pulpit should the interrorgaters drop the ball. Sadam as been already well briefed on how to handle his interrorgaters.
Where are those weapons of mass destruction? I am sure Sadam will be asking that
Where have some of our soldiers gone since the "end of hostilities"
Gone to the grave yard...
Long time passing....
Where have all the flowers gone...

These people want their own country back, their way of life, and the means to provide for themselves. They had that before the war as rough as it may have been, but do they have that now? Do they believe they will have it again under the controlling eye of the US? Will they "get with the program"? That web we weave could be our own hornets nest.

I say this with all due respect for the families who have
given so and sacrificed
so much.

Hi Bilow, are these latest predictions going to be filed next to your prediction the U.S. would never invade Iraq?

<<...The Taliban sources paint a portrait of a Qaeda network that has found new ways to operate, despite a U.S. dragnet in Central and South Asia. U.S. officials adamantly deny they have skimped on resources—intelligence or military—in that region. But there is evidence that the diversion of U.S. attention to Iraq has given Al Qaeda some breathing room, and that U.S. dependence on Pakistani troops and Afghan warlords is proving inadequate, perhaps even counter-productive, against the terror network. Over the past year, NEWSWEEK has learned, the CIA and British intelligence have been at odds over how badly the Taliban and Al Qaeda were damaged in the region. “The British were more prone to say the Taliban and Al Qaeda were coming back,” says a U.S. official who is privy to intel discussions, and who believes the Bush administration downplayed the threat in order to switch its focus to Iraq...>>
