Our government cannot afford the 13 trillion in debt some expert economists predict if Bush's voodoo trickle-down economics doesn't work like gangbusters. That's by 2010.
The interest alone could be a trillion a year. The rich better hurry up and hire millions of people with all those tax breaks, that's all I can say.

That's a helluva lot of money. What are we going to do, devalue the dollar by 50% and let the Europeans buy up all our property like the Japanese did in the 80's? The Euro was worth 90 cents four years ago now it's at $1.16.

BTW: Did Saddam look like an imminent threat to you today? Worth 300-500 billion to take out? Even if he didn't have any WMD's? Maybe if we get the oil revenues to pay for it, but so far not a single cent back to tax-payers. Our troops however are doing a great job. Now if only our leaders were as fine as our troops.
