The same thing a bum would pay...nothing, unless he insisted. Would they sue him across the pond?

The real issue is that the government is never responsible with the money. Theere is no NET to pay the doctor. At least no net realized in by-passing the insurance company. It is gobbled in bureaucratic waste

The most basic principle of insurance is the larger the pool, the less the risk. Why this isn't pointed out when debating national health insurance has always been a mystery to me.
