Unless Bush reinstates the draft - but even he is not that stupid. No, but Congress is. And they are already excited about the prospect of increasing the manpower in our military forces. Over 90 Congressmen are joint sponsors of legislation to this effect. Expect some action on this in the spring. And that Draft Board brouhaha that arose when the DoD advertised for draft board members via the Internet? Well, fuggedabout the Internet. There's plenty of back channel means to find board members. I'm feeling 99% certain it is happening right now, very discretely and with the DoD Internet advert never to appear again.
