So Bush has captured boogey man Saddam. Now what?

We'd all love to hear what intel they get from Saddam.
Maybe he'll lead us right to huge WMD's stockpiles or admit he's the root of all evil who was planning to attack the US in partnership with Al Qaida.

Or maybe it's possible he claims he hasn't had WMD's since 1992, that he has nothing to do with the attacks in Iraq versus Americans, that he never met anyone from Al Qaida in his life and that he thought the US was OK with him invading Kuwait. I wonder if information like that would ever be allowed to be made public. If Saddam goes on public trial and testifies, it might. So Bush beware.

Realistically, they might get the whereabouts of his billions in Swiss bank accounts and some of his bunkers where such and such might be hidden. However, the upcoming trial will be tricky for the Bush administration. How can they control what Saddam says? Just as with Osama, Saddam may have intelligence to share with the world that is just as damaging to the US as his capture is helpful.

If the violence continues, this capture will not be all that important except symbolically to the Iraqis and our troops. That in itself thugh is important. At least it is a sign of progress.
