States without limits are losing docs.

It is true, however, that the alternatives are various, including allowing docs to fight back by eliminating insurance altogether, but that's not allowed by law in some of those states.

I know a doc in another state who said "to hell with it", and has no malpractice insurance, and is doing just fine. He says to any predatory lawyers, "so sue me, you won't get much", because he doesn't have a large insurance co. ready to make payoffs. He's very careful about who he takes as patients.



I understood it that way....the question still stands.
