closed it's eyes.

You certainly have gone from "OK'd" to "ignored" in a hurry, KL. This is a leftist dream brought on by the fact that they want to see the right as evil. It's they only way they can handle it.

Kyrosi,
This is the argument my son-in-law always makes to me. Back in those days, there was a belief that it would be a good thing for iraq and iran to destroy each other. To my credit(for a change) I was violently opposed to such a cynical view. Our government followed a policy of benign neglect as long as there was no clear winner or balance of power shift. I think current Bush policy, eschews the cynical past. I point this out to my son-in-law as I who opposed the new world order bs with the US intervening all over the world, now support it while those who had a far more idealistic view of foreign policy now argue against american intervention. With the exception of the neocons if clinton were president now, i suspect many would have opposite views. For me 9/11 changed everything as it did for bush. Mike
PS Sorry for the rant but i am on my way to babysit.
