Maybe you're not aware of the backlash against Dean now.It hasn't shown in the polls yet but will. The extent of it is not yet known but it is real and building. It won't be resolved though until 3 of the major opponents drop out. That will take months. It may even go all the way to the convention despite the Gore endorsement. There is a sense in the party now that Gore made a mistake, that he was not thinking smart or rational. When you see dean behind Bush by 20% in New Hampshire of all places it's truly alarming. Who cares what Dean is or stands for if he cannot even win New Hampshire. Beating Bush is everything. Nothing else matters remotely as much.
