One that does more than pretend to live up to its values of democracy and freedom. One that shows deep respect for civil rights, without which there is nothing worth calling freedom and democracy, and one that reveres the rule of law, without which nothing else civilized is possible GST, we just overthrew one of the world's worst dictators, have declared that we intend to replace him with a democracy, and have set up an Iraqi governing council and declared an end date to our occupation and a date for Iraqi elections. The democracy, freedom and civil rights of Iraqis are in far better shape than they were a year ago. So, why doesn't this make you happy?
