Clapper, the deal for A-Rod is heating up - I think they'll close it or shut it down completely in the next 48 hours. Rumors are also circulating that Nomar will move to 3rd or 2nd if and when A-Rod comes and keep Ortiz on 1st - (2nd would be up for grabs). Then, you have Martinez, Schilling, Lowe and Wakefield as a rotation, Verateck as catcher, with Foulke, Timlin and Williamson et al from the bull pen. Nixon in right, Jackson in center and left field TBD. Red Sox nation people are starting to salivate. And, what with the Pats....it's almost an overload.
