to the new new version (the update that was available about a week ago), or merely the new version?

have you read my recent posts to this thread, re. the upgrade?

it works perfectly. however, if you valued the fact that you could open a watch list and just sit, watching for news to float to the top of your watch list? forget it. Pottruck et al., in all their wisdom, eliminated that feature. You can now sit and watch news flags that pop up for such gems as "52 week high" notices, "consensus earnings" crap, the latest recommendations from bulltrader.com (etc.), etc., and then watch them **all day long**. If there is new news on top of those important gems, you won't know it. Not only do you NOT have the capacity (if I'm wrong, I'm gonna look REALLY silly) to clear your floating news flag column, it doesn't even clear day-to-day.

it's really weird..... it looks like they've catered to the client who is over age 105 and opens SSP to roll over a CV or two once every two months. If they beta tested the new version, they must have chosen bond traders.

But, if you're asking whether or not your trading capacities will be disabled for a bit? Works perfectly for me.

What's really alarming?

You send your money to these guys. You send your money to the company, Schwab, which **designed** this change.

I recommend anyone who is considering a transfer to Schwab to look elsewhere, as this must indicate that management has lost focus. There simply is no other explanation.

Upgraded to the new version of Street Smart Pro the other day. No problems, but I never had problems with the previous version. Some minor noticable differences.
