As sick as it sounded, it wasn't a threat. It would take your compliance and therefore removes him from an element of the crime. His was only a suggestion. I for personal reasons do not wish anyone, even you commit suicide. It causes far more pain than it relieves and is often a worthless act, in retrospect.
