Growth of Electronic Commerce. Forrester Research believes that electronic commerce activity in the United States will grow at a compounded annual growth rate of 19% over the next five years to nearly $230 billion in 2008 (representing 10% of total retail sales in the United States). 3.Growth in Performance-Based Advertising and Search Marketing.
