OT: SOX

I think we have been seeing an orderly sell off in the SOX and I'm not at all concerned about the index for the long haul. If you are working trades with a very short term time frame, I agree there is a lot to be worried about since the big money can shift the short term trends quickly. I think this is just another "shake out the weak hands" maneuver and that the longer term upward trend is going to take over. I'm trying very hard not to get worked up over the short term swings and, until we see a serious breakdown, I think the bullish bias has to stay in place.

FWIW, I would have left my 2000 shares of SYXI ride if I didn't think there was a great opportunity to pick up another company on the cheap and I won't be able to add more sideline cash to the trading account until late January or early February.

I agree with you that chasing rallies is not necessarily a good approach at this point in time but if you have good entry points, I wouldn't want to try and out guess the market, especially with the tax implications for the short term moves.

There is a ton of small cap selling going on and there seems to be an effort to shake out many stocks that should do very well in 2004. I'm trying very hard to keep my focus on the horizon, not the window sill...vbg. I agree...go SOX!
