This will be the first time in a while where clients are mad about taxes on distributions. <G>

Hi Joan,

I did get sent a printed prospectus for the PIMCO funds after I bought into PCRDX, and it provided a few more scraps of information that you probably already know. Without listing the specific investments, or "instruments," it did mention futures, options on futures, and other things. Mainly they seem to want to make clear that they will not have to deal with a parking lot full of soy beans or a hundred tons of lead.

With the basic collateral for the commodities paper mostly in TIPS, it does sound like what I want. If only the United States were as wisely allocated as that fund!

I knew that there would be a big political hoo-hah about rising natural gas prices, but the instinct to look for villains in any situation still appalls me. I don't hear any of the pols who are weighing in referring Greenspan's explcit warning last summer about NG.
