Saddams punishment:
Confined to a cell with a limitless supply of Lego with which to build palaces and tunnels and dolls to torture.
A sewing kit with which to make his own uniforms and decorations
A 6 inch TV that shows only reruns of Happy Days,Baywatch
and Rumsfeld speeches.
A map of Iraq and a box of pins.
When he wants to eat he is only required to stick a pin in the location of buried items such as unmarked graves, WMD's, missiles, chemical shells, money supplies, trucks, balloon inflators, uranium, etc.
Verification produces meals. Call it " meals for deals"
Otherwise its just cold MRE's to eat

"Yeah, yeah, yeah... They've been saying this for decades.. I remember a similar argument when I was in grade school back in the '70s."

Pity you didn't understand then that the 1956 prediction that US oil production would peak in the 70's in fact occurred in 1970. But then again you were in grade school. Thanks to the superb US education system little things like that event don't get presented to others than those few that study oil and its effect on social, political, and economic systems. I heard of the prediction in the late 50's but scoffed at it as you do, being, at the time, a believer in the ability of technology to solve all problems.

The same techniques used to predict the peak in US oil production, refined, are the basis for the present predictions about world oil production. Having read the book and seen other reports that predict similar time scales I find the prediction to be credible.

I hope you took the time to read Chapter 1 and that it piqued your curiosity.
