He not only has a point, he's gotten it exactly right, IMO, of course. His three ground rules are right on. Just what I've been arguing all along. I'm glad you're willing to hear it from him if not from me.

In 1984 i won a straight up bet from my college prof buddy on the reagan/mondale election. He told me everyone he knew was voting for mondale. He even refused to believe that i would vote for reagan(again) when i got to the polls. He lost and i didnt even have to lay odds. So the story you posted struck a cord with me. Mike
PS Same buddy wants to bet me on dean/bush but he is holding out for odds this time. He may be a hopeless liberal but once burned.......Same story about all of his buddies hate bush, blah blah blah.
PPS Conservate talk show hosts hold no such views. They know that there are plenty of liberals out there so there bias is more agenda driven
