Yeah, it can happen anywhere. We live in a pretty pricey area next to La Jolla, CA. Long story short - I left for work at 5:30 AM (gotta have the screens up for trading) and left the garage door open. My wife answered a knock (expecting a cab to the airport) and was asked by a dude in shades "that your Porsche in the garage?". She said "yes", then realized something was up when he turned and reached into his waistband. She had to force the door closed on him (tough little cookie - gym 7 days a week) and called the cops. He ran, I got his shades now (that he dropped), and we don't leave our garage open any more than necessary.
