Calling all gurus!!! Please read the following excerpt:

"Those that make a name for themselves as timers, like Elaine Garzarelli, tell you what they learned from their mistakes and go out to fight another day. The frauds, and there are plenty, pretend they didn't make a bad prediction or they try to burry the record."

The lesson to be learned from this is that the Dow is just 30 stocks and does not have to track with the rest of the market.

The divergence of the dow relative to everything else in the last couple of weeks has been truly stunning. This month the dow is up 3.7% in 13 trading days while the s&p is up less than half that (1.7%) and nasdaq is -2%.

Smells like a very sick market when all they can think of to buy is one narrow index.
