The way the Clinton impeachment was handled does not lead to your conclusion about a "current standard." History of impeachment is largely limited to notes of the Constitution drafters and the 2 actual impeachments. I doubt another President will be impeached for lying about sex. The trial in the Senate proved that. My prior posts suggests that politicians drop their normal stripes when it involves something integral to the Consitution. We had a meglomaniac (Ken Starr) taking advantage of a political situation with unlimited funding. I doubt it will ever happen again. Deposing a tyrant - sometimes it needs to be done. If only we had a similar Bush policy in 1938-1940, many millions might not have been murdered by the Nazis. What I'm suggesting to you is that extremism is wrong on either side. YOu have extremist views and tend to paint Bush or those who support him minimally with a broad brush. There is much good about Bush and lots I'd change.
