MIAMI (Reuters) - FedEx Corp (NYSE:FDX - news), the world's leading air-express group, on Wednesday delivered a 63 percent drop in quarterly net income, hurt by restructuring charges and sputtering at its ground delivery unit.

Excluding the costs for retirements and staff reductions equal to 57 cents a share, and 5 cents in savings from the program, quarterly profit would have been $266 million, or 87 cents a share.
