so it is your belief that we should buy things we don't need and employ people in positions that aren't necessary, so that the economy will prosper? The economy will prosper with or without the former leaders of industry. Markets reflect needs and needs change.

Your fantasy of a "bad retail year" is entirely left wing propaganda. Retail is on fire, along with capital formation.
