<< I just doubled my AAPL position at $19.87. >>

IMHO...good move, Dave...

<<I can't find any other tech company than AAPL that seems like a good investment to me right now.>>

Take a look at AMD......Correcting now, but IMHO (again) looks pretty good long-term.....g

BTW...Dave, I never was able to fully install Disk 2 Panther. But I did get IE working...Everthing seems to be working fine - as much as I use (including iPhoto and iTune, and printing).......But I still get a pesky message all the time telling me "System extension cannot be used".....it's identified as "/System/Library/Extensions/Delete Trap.kext".....Have searched all over, but can't find anything like that.....it tells me to try reinstalling it or "contact the product vendor for an update"......If I only knew who the "vendor" was......Any more of your expert advice for a "dummie"?........g

I can't find any other tech company than AAPL that seems like a good investment to me right now.

You might want to short this company considering my track record.

Sandisk just got clobbered on the news that Samsung is going to build a foundry for flash memory. Personally I think it's a knee jerk reaction.

Unlike Lexar (I believe), Sandisk has a lot of patents so it collects royalties on a lot of it's competitors cards. Like Apple it is a name brand and slightly higher profit margins.

The CEO of Sandisk has always proclaimed that Sandisk is well positioned to benefit from falling prices and so far he seems to have been correct.

Flash memory is getting put into everything nowdays.

I've been speculating that flash memory will get fast enough and cheap enough to remember the last state your computer was in at the time you shut it down and allow nearly instant boots. Possibly eventually replacing Hard Disk Drives.

Plenty of positive corporate news.

Pretty high P/E but that's not unusual for this company.

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Computer storage product maker SanDisk Corp. (NasdaqNM:SNDK - News), said on Saturday it raised its 2003 revenue forecast, citing high bookings and better than expected sales of devices using its products over the Thanksgiving weekend.

SanDisk said it expects revenues this year to exceed $1.0 billion, compared with its September projection of 2003 sales of $950 million.

The Sunnyvale, California-based company, which makes removable memory cards used in digital cameras and personal digital assistants, also reiterated a positive business outlook for the fourth quarter.
