Ray, I want to echo pezz's sentiments. I really enjoy your posts. I'm very grateful that the Internet has opened up "communities of interest" whereby topics can be explored with greater context and deeper questioning than mainstream media allows.

Funny, my grandparents generation (as a generational tendency) seemed generally not to question the authority of their doctor. My parents generation, and much of my generation, generally didn't question the authority of mainstream media. I really grew up believing newspapers published "the news". I have high hopes for today's youth. It is my hope that the Internet and digital learning opportunities will provide them with the capabilities for more critical, non-linear thinking, and an improved ability to differentiate authentic communication from propaganda. And of course, hopefully, they will develop a greater sense of individual responsibility for the quality of news and media they consume. It's nice to hope anyway.

Best regards,

Glenn

You need to be more magnanimous about the munificence of my gifts.
