Criminal indeed, and incompetency of the worst kind - a few more turns of the public exposure thumbscrews is all it will take to identify which public official is responsible for such gross professional negligence.

I don't know if this has been discussed before but was there a criminal profile done on the killer? All I have read or seen in the past year about profiles in similar killings would lead me to believe that because of the severity of Jovin's wounds the killer very likely was someone who knew Suzanne.

Also, the material discovered under Suzanne's fingernails, its it known whether it was skin/blood that could most likely be associated with her self defense or perhaps something not as substantial evidence-wise? I'm asssuming the material from under her fingernails had DNA that didn't match hers.
