JHY,

Re: My feeling is we may be headed for short term pull-in of orders for major equipment

It looks like the market agrees with you as the sector appears to be languishing even though the Bullish news keeps on coming.

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Cypress Semiconductor Corp. has increased its guidance for the 2003 fourth quarter for the second time in the quarter. The company now expects revenue of about $235 million for the quarter ending December 28, 2003. Cypress posted revenue of $217 million revenue in the third quarter and initially guided investors to expect fourth quarter revenue of $224 million. Last month, the company increased its guidance to revenue of $230 million (see November 6 story).

Cypress ascribed the improved outlook to an increase in demand for memory in networking equipment and wireless handsets and to higher-than-expected USB sales in consumer and computer systems.
