Schaeffer was interviewed in a roundtable in US Today....4 strategists

Other 3 "analysts/strategists" were bullish into most of 2004...believe low rate environment safe into late next year, and profit growth will be strong...etc.

Schaeffer had an interesting take. He was not at all bullish on overall markets, and basically stated we've have to blow-out earnings to even maintain an average historical P/E. So lot's of room to disappoint on downside, and I think Bernie's range is 8000-10600 or so. He also pointed to sentiment levels that are too high (for too long), and point to froth everywhere.

Interestingly, despite the "bearish" take on almost every market related topic, he is still bullish on tech. Says they are wildly over-valued, but believes this is all a momentum play, and that that there are plenty of individual shorters/hedge funds to punish still. Gave no targets, but tone made me believe he is not looking for anything close to Jan or 2000 COMP turn...
