Of course Bush lied, but remember, Clinton lied about sex too and left office with 60% approvals. He would have won re-election despite the lies. In 2004 we need a candidate who stands tall. Above Bush. Bush has this macho leadershp thing going which is real. We need someone who can neutralize that without being leftwing about it.

Bush is not a liar. It is just that he doesn't know what is going on around him.

He sends Uncle Baker to Europe to negotiate Iraq's debt while at the same time telling France and Germany that they cannot bid on Iraqi contracts. Surely that is not a lie, is it. Isn't there a term for that? Incompetent. Or ineffective. Take your pick.
