You claim a necon conspiracy and that they are not "normal politicians."

Those you attack are no different than the extremists of the left.

Fortunately, our system and its tendency to have majority of the middle, even with an electorate that is not fully informed, weeds out the extremists on both poles.

That's why the nutty theories of "Bush did 9/11 and everything eles" are ridiculed in the real world and the Ashcrofts are generally discredited. Note I think that Ashcroft is pretty extreme. I wouldn't call Colin Powell extreme. That's the problem with your use of labels to try to place anyone with whom you have a disagreement.
