KC, NZ switched on a dime [so to speak]. I was in Canada when they were trying to switch [1975] and it was pitiful [influenced heavily by the USA I suppose].

We ditched pounds shillings and pence 10 July 1967 and went metric on weights and measures without much problem at all about 1973.

How are you with degrees Kelvin?

We had a problem with shifting to driving on the right hand side of the road though. The government planned to change all the cars to the right side 1 July, then when they'd got used to it, change all the trucks on 1 August. But there were significant problems during early July so the whole scheme was cancelled. Giggle...
