Nuts! Cut the Gordian Knot Ray. Freedom is a wonderful thing.

In the earliest days of electrical generation and distribution, you had chaos. That is what an unregulated market is good at producing. You had single phase vs. three phase systems overlapped. You had incompatible voltages on different systems so that they couldn't intertie.

Relying on markets is such a stupid idea I can't even begin to attempt to educate you. There seems to be a vast need for you to educate yourself about the industry before spouting off so ridiculously.

Running an electrical grid and running a trio of cafeterias have absolutely nothing to do with each other. The analogy is preposterous.

But then, that's why you are so endearing Maurice. We love your little crackpot eccentricities when they are so barmy, so pixilated and so far-fetched that we cannot help but laugh in wonder.
