Neocon,
If they could pin it on Prescott Bush, then yes, some Democrats would probably defame Roosevelt and Churchill for supporting Stalin during WWII.

Afterall, Democrats (or their supporters) are now slamming Averell Harriman, in order to get the message out that he and Prescott Bush were in business with "a Nazi" during WWII. Never mind that WA Harriman and his wife were leading figures in the Democratic Party for 50 years. Or that the "Nazi" in question, was by 1942, an well known opponent of Hitler - who had his properties seized by the Nazis, and was sitting in a jail or prison cell under the control of the Nazis.

I wonder if the Nobel committee will want their prize back, if Saddam says that President Carter (actually the one who began normalizing relations with Iraq), greenlighted the invasion of Iran - the real "October Surprise".

re:" So, do you propose to defame Roosevelt and Churchill for having supported Stalin when they were confronting a common enemy, namely Hitler?"

At that time, the differences between US and the Soviet Union was mainly ideological. Also, the US didn't help Stalin kill anybody unlike in the case of Iraq.
