I take my job seriously, I will do my job and I look forward to the political debate later on. So I'm confident during the numerous press conferences I'll be having next year -- just like I had this year -- that you'll be asking me questions about this political statement or that political statement, and my answer is going to be the same until I'm ready to engage, and that is, let me just tell you what the strategy is of this administration. Forget politics. The strategy that I've outlined in order to do my solemn duty -- and my duty is not only to keep the country more secure, but more prosperous and a better country, as well.
-- G. W. Bush, Washington, D.C., Dec. 15, 2003

I look forward to his changing position once he decides to engage.

Maybe you can explain this one....

There's only one person who hugs the mothers and the widows, the wives and the kids upon the death of their loved one. Others hug, but having committed the troops, I've got an additional responsibility to hug and that's me and I know what it's like.

Is he saying that he's been hugging the widows, wives, and kids of the soldiers killed in Iraq? Is he hugging himself? or Does he have the responsibility of hugging but hasn't been doing it?
