Americans have a wacky sense of fairness that must be taken into consideration.

As to why would Hillary run if the odds aren't in her favor - It's what she does. She's a political animal. Campaigning makes her feel alive. It's fun and exciting, and she gets to see her face on TV every night.

Her marriage was a looser too but she kept with it, because she was hooked on the politics that came with it. That's an addiction worse than nicotine.
