”If this open-ended 'War on terrorism' is anything…” If it is anything, it is the position of noble persons standing up to brutal despotism. I am going to presume you are a grown up. You should have noticed by now that in this world from the beginning of time until now there has been brutality and corruption of the most heinous kind throughout the world. There is also honor and decency. However, many honorable and decent persons have been tortured and murdered at the hands of despots. From the bully of the block to the tyrannical regime we have seen and continue to witness atrocity. I hear on the news today about the trial of a serial killer of 46 women in the US. Terrorism is a generic term. It involves systematic and deliberate actions designed to instill intense fear in others as a means of coercion, often involving threats of serious harm possibly including but not limited to violent torture and murder of innocent victims. I pray there will ALWAYS be honorable and noble persons willing to stand up at any place and time to terrorism with whatever means is effective, from diplomacy to violent confrontation.
