Tuck,
I'm glad that a winner such as you also had the best portfolio this year.

Best regards,

Bob

Contest Closed. Congrats Tuck. You get to wear the crown all next year. Can't wait to see your 2004 entry (because frankly I'm having trouble finding more than 3!).

Bravo also to Ice who showed enormous good character as the long-time leader and even more virtue when overtaken by the eventual winner.

Finally: Thank you our host, Michael F. Murphy.

Congratulations, Tuck, three times: you won the contest against a formidable field, you have made many insightful comments to biotech investors at SI, and you have been a stellar advocate for your charity.

Alpha Project's "Donate Now" button did not work for me, so I snail-mailed my check to Alpha Project, 3737 Fifth Avenue, Suite 203, San Diego, CA 92103. I enclosed a letter to Mr. McElroy, mentioning the contest, and asking that you be notified that my donation was received.

I feel great about this year's contest, and about the many exchanges we have all shared over the year. Thanks to all, especially Eric who lead for so long. And -- best wishes to everyone.

Lest anyone think that this message is even tangentially related to altruistic motives, I want to disclose that if I ever become homeless, I intend to hitch-hike to San Diego.

To Tuck,

Congratulations. Nice portfolio.
The check is in the mail.

To Erik,

"Tillykke"! We didn't have AMEV in our portfolios,
but we did very well. "Skål du gamle".

Congrats.
Check for $500 sent yesterday to Alpha Project.
I see I ended up pretty much in the middle of the pack. Given I felt like I was throwing darts 12 months ago, middle of the pack is Ok.
Thinking about participating in the 2004 contest, but haven't been too engaged in the sector recently.
I do have to thank you and others with an amazing stroke of luck in my PA this year. I kid you not. I bought AMEV the morning of the Lilly announcement at $11.75. (still holding). Too bad I didn't buy it 12 months ago.
Thanks,
Raul
