In earlier years, I used to accept "spin" and "rhetoric" as a marginally benign part of politics. I wasn't sure whether it changed or I changed, but I decided that they were just euphimisms for lying. Under this Administration, spin has gone to new levels...to illustrate. The report from the White House claims that they've demonstrated "fiscal restraint". There's no reasonable person that could ever assign "fiscal restraint" as a characteristic of the Bush Administration....the Bushies have raised the bar for the meaning of shameless lying. jttmab
