"...that this was filmed in Bangkok along the banks of the Chao Phraya. " I don't think so. Much, if not all, of it appears to be have been filmed in NYC. In the beginning it shows Union Square East at 17th St (my neighborhood). Following that there are scenes on the FDR Drive along the East River and then Times Square. One scene could be the ConEd Plant and the fish/frog scene could have been shot in Chinatown. The general sense I got from it all that it was a "protest ride." But, I don't know what for or against.
