Saddam is like a mafia chieftan as well. Will kill all who oppose but then trys to cut a deal to save his own arse. I believe we will get usable info from saddam for a price--taking death penalty off the table which could be as simple as concocting a combo iraqi/international court in which saddam gets life. I'm sure the iraqis would accept this if they could locate wmds, more killing field locations, good intel on other bad guys, which countries screwed Iraq etc. mike
