Raymond, apropos the Bilderberg group.

You mentioned that they were exclusively white, no Africans, no Asians, no South Americans and, presumably, no Muslims. From the list in your first reference, I find all of these who do not conform:

Al Saud, Waleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz - Saudi Prince

Annan, Kofi - UN Secretary General

Arafat, Yasser - Chairman Palestinian Authority

Assad, Hafez - President of Syria

Bolkiah, Hassanal - The Sultan of Brunei

bin-Mohamad, Mahathir - PM of Malaysia

Ebtekar, Massoomeh - Vice President of Iran

Estrada, Joseph - President of the Phillipines

Fahd, King - Leader of Saudi Arabia

Fan, Rita - Chairwoman Provincial Legislature China

Goh Chok Tong - Prime Minister of Singapore

Gujral, I.K. - Former Prime Minister of India

Habibie, B. J. - Indonesia’s Prime Minister

Hariri, Rafik - Prime Minister of Lebanon

Hashimoto, Ryutaro - Former Prime Minister of Japan

Hussein, King - of Jordan and The Crown Prince Hassan

Jiang Zemin - President of China

Kim, Dea.jung - President of South Korea

Kim Young-sam - Former President of South Korea

Lee Kuan-Yew - President of Singapore

Lee Teng-hui - President of Taiwan

Li Peng - Prime Minister of China

Mandella, Nelson - President of South Africa

Mubarak, Hosni - President of Egypt

Narayanan, K.R. - Former President of India

Obuchi, Keizo - Prime Minister of Japan

Tung Chee-hwa - Hong Kong Chief Executive

Vajpayee, Atal Behari - Prime Minister of India

Wang Changyi - China’s Ambassador to Israel

Zedillo, Ernesto - President of Mexico

Zeroual, Liamine - President of Algeria

While it is clear that most are, in fact, Israelis and US Jewish businessmen, the group is clearly not exclusive to them. In fact, as it is, it does seem a very comprehensive, interesting but unfocussed group of leaders, statesmen, businessmen and intellectuals, indeed, one could even say, world aristocracy. And I would go further, I cannot see this group conspiring to do nefarious deeds like, for example, persuade the US to do a 9-11 stunt or illegally occupy Iraq in contravention of the UN Charter or international law. I accept it is a very private group but I disagree that it is clandestine. From what I know of Mandela, for example, he would definitely not be party to any underhand scheme involving the US or Israel or anyone, for that matter. He is truly a noble person.

So, my original proposal still stands that these are not the ones who are behind the occult World Government, if there is one at all. In fact, if anything, this group is a blind to where the action really is or could be. And of course, it would still be a great honor and privilege to be admitted to the group. Even for us.

Raymond > We could be the first nation that Huxley's Soma has been served to en masse

That is a very thought-provoking, and amusing, piece about voting the way one eats. Of course, it it a variation on a familiar theme which is that one IS what one eats. But, I have never before considered the possibility that eating junk food or GM or additives or anything unnatural, for that matter, messes up one's ability to make decisions in other areas.

I have to say, as far as I know, that most Republican supporters come from rural and, particularly, farming communities and one would have expected that they would have had the best diet, by traditional standards. In fact, it is Democratic supporters, being largely urban, who one would expect to eat junk/additives/chemicals/what-have-you rather than well-balanced meals.

But, perhaps, a balanced-meal is also no good these days because one would then expect rural dwellers to eat the highest amounts of meat and fat (that is certainly so with the farmers in South Africa, where I am). And it is the meat, and especially the fat, which contains every poison or chemical which is given to the livestock or sprayed on the crops they eat. The truth is that it's almost impossible to win these days when it comes to food --- whatever one eats is either shit or contains it!

No wonder, whoever one votes for is just the same.
