1000 hours!

December 18, 2003

It's great to be back in New Hampshire! There are now fewer than 1,000 hours until voters go to the polls here on January 27th. I am committed to making the most of each hour: meeting with as many voters as I can and sharing the vision of our campaign with them. The clock is ticking. We're entering the critical stage of our campaign, and it is important that we all pull together to do our part.

Please make a contribution to Clark for President!

You probably received an email from my campaign manager Paul Johnson on Tuesday, announcing our biggest fundraising drive to date: the Clark04 $1 Million Challenge. Achieving it is an ambitious goal... but is absolutely essential to our collective success.

Please understand -- December 31st is a huge deadline for our campaign. It's the last day of the crucial fundraising 4th quarter -- one of the final milestones before the Democratic primaries begin in January. Right or wrong, the media will gauge our momentum based on the amount of money we've been able to raise. Reaching this $1 Million Challenge in the final two weeks of the year will allow us to fund our critical field and media operations in the early primary states. At the same time, just meeting our $1 million goal will make people stand up, take notice, and join our cause.

Please contribute to the Clark04 $1 Million Challenge!

This is your campaign. This is about your future. And together, we must share the responsibility for making our dreams a reality.

You inspired me to join this race. And you will lead us to victory. If you've already contributed to our campaign, I thank you from the bottom of my heart -- and I must ask you to contribute once more. If you haven't given before, please contribute what you can. No amount is too small.

We're entering the final stretch. Our goal is in sight, but we still have a lot of work to do. With your help, we'll succeed. But I can't do it without you.

Sincerely,

Wes Clark

P.S. December 31st is the most important fundraising deadline of the entire campaign. Your contribution, up to $250 per person, will be doubled by federal matching funds, providing additional critical funds in February -- in the heart of primary season. If you'd like to contribute by mail, download a contribution form. But to put your money to work right away, make your contribution online. Thanks for your support!

Contributions to Clark for President, Inc. are limited to $2,000 per individual. Federal Matching Funds will double your support up to $250. Contributions must be made with personal funds and may not be reimbursed or paid by any other person. Contributions by corporations, labor unions, national banks, federal contractors, and non-U.S citizens who are not lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the U.S. are prohibited. Contributions to Clark for President are for use in connection with the Democratic presidential primary.

Clark is #2 in fund raising....he just raised over $1 million the other night at the Grand Hyatt in New York...He is spending his money wisely and has many experienced folks on his campaign team.

In New York Alan and Susan Patricof are his Chief Fund raisers...Mr. Patricof is the east coast's most successful venture capitalist...Clark has also attracted the support of a founder of the Milberg Weiss legal powerhouse. In Chicago the grandson of the Pritzker family fortune (J.B. Pritzker) is a key fundraiser.

On top of this Clark's Internet fundraising efforts are ramping fast and he is already #2 in this category as well. I would not count the General out anytime soon...He is on target for a very successful quarter of fundraising.
