Where's the proof Brown received $700,000 for lifting a trade embargo? Did he even have the power to do this anyway? Of course not. Lifting the trade embargo on Vietnam took bi-partisan congressional support as well as support from CLinton himself.

If Brown did receive such a "bribe" he was obviously corrupt, but again it's easy to attack a dead man who cannot defend himself. And what is the point?

If it's a partisan attack, look at how much money Richard Perle is collecting, for instance. Look at Cheney-Halliburton and Enron and all the others. Look at the phony energy cisis which ripped off some 100 billion from consumers. Look at Tom Delay making lobbyists gifts to congressmen legal and unreportable. We have a Corruption Inc administration in power now which is clearly serving the corporate special interests who contribute the most to them. This is a scandal in the hundreds of billions of dollars range and nobody on the right seems to give a damn. McCain is the only one I've heard in the GOP calling the fat porkers what they really are. Pigs at the trough of our public dollars and lands.
